Historically, approximately 60 percent of Buckeye Fabricating Company’s annual revenues are generated from the production of stainless steel tanks. Although we have the capability to produce steel tanks with a variety of metals (carbon, Hastelloy and Monel, to name a few), you might say that stainless steel tanks are our bread and butter.
Quality Control Inspection and Testing
For more than 45 years, chemical manufacturers nationwide have relied on Buckeye Fabricating Company to produce the highest-quality stainless steel tanks available anywhere. As is true of all our custom process tanks and pressure vessels, Buckeye Fabricating Company’s stainless steel tanks are manufactured in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) code. Our extensive quality control system ensures that all stainless steel tanks have been properly designed, constructed, inspected and pressure tested. We apply our stringent quality standards to stainless steel tanks of virtually any design, size or configuration.
Time-Tested Quality, Cutting-Edge Production
We use a CNC plasma cutter to guarantee the highest degree of accuracy for the location and fit-up sizing of all stainless steel tank cutouts. The system also has line-marking capability to ensure that all attachments are accurately located. This equipment can cut up to 1-inch thick stainless steel, performs flat plate cutouts 10 feet wide x 30 feet long, and can handle dished-head surfaces up to 10 feet in diameter on a third, Z-axis. Buckeye Fabricating Company can fabricate stainless steel tanks as large as 12 feet in diameter and 40 feet long, with an empty weight up to 20,000 pounds.
