Although we have the capability to produce tanks with a variety of metals (stainless steel, Hastelloy and Monel, to name a few), carbon steel tanks are produced on our plant floor every day.

As is true of all of our custom process tanks and pressure vessels, Buckeye’s carbon steel tanks are manufactured in accordance with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) pressure vessel code. Our extensive quality control system ensures that all carbon steel tanks have been properly designed, constructed, inspected and pressure tested. We apply our stringent quality standards to carbon steel tanks of virtually any design, size or configuration.

Our CNC plasma cutter guarantees the highest degree of accuracy for the location and fit-up sizing of all carbon steel tank cutouts. The system also has line-marking capability to ensure that all attachments are accurately located. This equipment can handle up to 1-inch thick steel, performs flat plate cutouts 10 feet wide x 30 feet long, and can handle dished-head surfaces up to 10 feet in diameter on a third, Z-axis. Buckeye Fabricating Company has the capacity to manufacture carbon steel tanks as large as 12 feet in diameter and 40 feet long, with an empty weight up to 20,000 pounds.
